Dear all,
As some of you may already know i am in Scotland for two weeks for the World Youth Congress organised by the UN, the MDG campaign, The Scottish government and PeaceChild.
I am here as a Dutch delegate representing The United Network Of Young Peacebuilders (www.unoy.org), of which i am a board member and coordinator of some outreach training programs.
There are also 3 or 4 other Dutch delegates from respectively Morocco, Italy and the other is just a kaaskop!!, a Dutch. It is fun here. But most of all very inspiring,informative and educative. I ahve learned so much in the past few days about world affairs, political structures, youth-led projects, youth potential, MDGs, the G* summit, world institutional structures, cultural heritages and social cohesion.
It has been phenomenal, breathtaking and inspirational. 700 youth form all over the world are here to discuss how they can "be the change" and make a difference in this world. They are getting the right help, skills and training they would need to make that a reality.
IN JUST TWO WORDS i would sum this event up as plucking the fruits of "optimistic globalisation" , positive vibrations and the portrayal of the reminiscences of the glocal village.
